@Anubis

It was all over the place because there were rolling questions asked from the PurpleStates team and I just took the video transcript and posted it. It was subsequently postponed until further notice unfortunately. As for the airlines, the article you linked shows a post 9/11 bailout, but shows the futility of bailouts as Delta and Northwest filed -http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/14/news/fortune500/bankruptcy_airlines/index.htm as did US Airways, which was one of the two biggest beneficiaries of the bailout - http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/usair_bankruptcy.html - Anthony Fuller

The airline industry didn't file bankruptcy, it was bailed out after 911, and supposedly it turned out fine http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?contentBlockId=eb6f263c-f0e8-42c5-ad35-1e1d321b1167 no oversight on the wall st bail was stupid.
Didn't understand the point of jumping from bailouts to immigration issues? Funny how all this happened under the bush administration and not the "socialist" Obama adminstration, - anubis

I think they'll avoid the issue until Obama takes office, and then he'll give the bailout. On one hand, I'm against bailouts of any kind. However, I'd much rather see a $25 billion bailout for the big three than $300 as Citi just received. There are double standards involved, which Paulson's past ties don't help, nor does the lack of transparency with the funds doled out so far. - Anthony Fuller

So what do you think Bush and Paulson are gonna actually do about Detroit? - David Lamb
